Dunkin' Donuts Shut Down by County Health Dept., Reopens
The store was shut down by the county on Monday, but reopened Tuesday afternoon.
That was fast.
Dunkin Donuts was shut down by the Chester County Department of Health on Monday for a failure to comply with county code, but reopened not long after 1 p.m. on Tuesday afternoon, a store employee has confirmed.
It's still unclear what violation shut down the 123 Nutt Road establishment. A statement taped inside its then locked door gave no indication of the nature of the violation. A phone call to the Chester County Health Department has not been returned.
The last county health inspection on record for the store took place on Feb. 3, 2012. The coffee shop had one violation—related to exposing food to cross-contamination—and received a total score of 95 out of 100.
Patch will update this story as more information becomes available.
