Republican Jon Ichter will be making his second run for a seat on Phoenixville's Borough Council, the Republican announced earlier this week.

Ichter, in a formal announcement he provided to Patch, said he has locked up an endorsement from the Phoenixville GOP, but emphasized that party politics is less important to him than problem solving.

"Local politics are less about major political party views," the North Ward candidate wrote. "It is more about doing what is right to support, sustain, enhance, and move forward the future of this great Borough. I will be your voice in our local public halls and I promise I will not let you down in these regards."

Greetings,

I would like to announce my campaign for election to the Phoenixville Borough Council.  This is my second attempt to serve the people of the North Ward.  I am not one to give up easily and truly believe I have many excellent qualities to offer as a public servant on Borough Council.  Over the course of the next few months I look forward to rolling out my campaign and hosting fund raising events to give us the best opportunity for victory come November 5, 2013.

This announcement additionally confirms my official endorsement by the Phoenixville GOP for the North Ward Borough Council seat in the upcoming election season.  Over the next few weeks my team will be knocking on doors to gather the necessary signatures for my nomination petition.  

Lastly, I am requesting your help in spreading the word about my candidacy. Whether you can volunteer to pass out materials, knock on doors, or make phone calls, the only way a victory is possible is with the help of my friends, colleagues, and the many wonderful people throughout this Borough.  If you are interested in being part of the campaign team please let me know and I can substantiate my views and plans while also answering any additional questions.
