Voting on the Best of Phoenixville poll closed at 9 p.m. Thursday and the results are in: you love Leary’s.

Leary’s Flowers came away with 61 percent of the vote, but it must be noted that Pennypacker Florist had a great showing with 215 votes of its own. In the comments section, fans advocated for both shops, and the owner of Leary’s even chimed in, showing very well how local businesses in Phoenixville work together to make the borough great:

I feel we both are the best, no matter who may think so. Everyone has the preference to whom they may think is better. The two of us help each other out, when a customer may walk in or call and we don't have what they may need, we send them to one another. Thanks for all of your support, I feel we both greatly appreciate it.

Others commented on why they prefer one or the other, and Michael H. summed it up nicely, saying, “I think the main takeaway is that both places have great advocates for their business and for me ... I will definitely take a look at both for Valentine’s Day.”

It’s great to see both shops working to provide great service and fabulous flowers to the people in and around Phoenixville.
