The day after President Obama signed 23 executive orders on guns, business was booming at French Creek Outfitters.

Count one for unintended consequences. A week after President Obama signed 23 executive orders prescribing tighter regulation on guns in America, it looks like the biggest beneficiaries might be gun retailers.

The effect is being felt locally.

According to reporting in Montgomery News, just a day after the president made his sweeping regulations, business was bustling at Phoenixville’s French Creek Outfitters.

The line was at least a dozen deep at all times on January 17, and a store employee told a reporter that they were sold out of the AR-15 rifle—the style Adam Lanza notoriously used in the December 14 shooting at Sandy Hook Elementary—and had been “for weeks.”

A separate source cited in the story said that the spike in sales is clearly a response to the President's agenda.

“Ever since the talk last year about Obama imposing gun controls, then everything went crazy,” the gun shop owner said.
