Public Drunkenness on Bridge Street

A bouncer at P.J. Ryan’s at 241 Bridge Street said Charles Scoda, 39, of Phoenixville, indicated he’d come back to the bar, possibly with a handgun.

Police responded April 1 at 11:47 p.m. and found Scoda outside and highly intoxicated, according to the report. An officer observed that Scoda urinated on himself and could hardly stand.

Police placed Scoda under arrest for public drunkenness. No gun was found, and Scoda was warned that if he returned to P.J. Ryan’s, he’d be cited for trespassing.

Boy Scout Shed Stolen

Someone hauled off with a 10-foot-by-20-foot shed belonging to Boy Scout Troop 58 in the 900 block of Township Line Road.

When police responded March 30 at 2 p.m., the complainant estimated the shed and its contents were worth $6,000. An investigation is pending.

Car Damaged on Nutt Road

Between 1:30 p.m. and 4 p.m. March 29, someone pushed in the driver’s side front bumper of a vehicle parked in the 100 block of Nutt Road. The bumper was cracked, and white transfer paint was found around the damage.

The vehicle was a 2005 green Jeep Liberty.

Defiant Trespass at the 7-11 

Despite being banned from the store, Benjamin Lander, 21, of Phoenixville, went into the 7-11 in the 200 block of Nutt Road on April 1 shortly before 10:44 p.m.

Lander was cited for trespassing and had been warned several times in the past about entering the shop. He was previously cited for trespassing in the store on Dec. 13.

Criminal Mischief on Fourth Avenue

On April 1 shortly before 9:03 p.m., a suspicious black male, six-feet tall, wearing a full brimmed hat, blue jeans and a blue coat was caught by a resident peering into the window of a home in the 300 block of Fourth Avenue.

When the man reporting the incident tried to talk to the suspicious subject, the man ran off toward Third Avenue on Lincoln Avenue.

The complainant drove around the block, and he reported that someone threw a brick toward his car. While the man didn’t see the brick thrower, he believed it to be the same man peering in the windows.

The suspicious male was gone by the time police arrive, and police didn’t see any damage to the complainant’s vehicle.

Burglary on Second Avenue 

Before April 1 at 8:14 p.m, someone reportedly broke into an apartment in the 300 block of Second Avenue and removed a Sony Playstation 3 and approximately 20 video games. The perpetrator entered through a bedroom window.

Criminal Mischief on Riverwalk Drive

Overnight between March 30 and 31, someone egged a vehicle in the 1000 block of Riverwalk Drive.

The victim said this was the second time the vehicle had been egged this year.

Credit Card Theft

As reported on April 1 at 11:22 a.m., Donna DiDonato, 43, allegedly stole her ex-roommate’s Master Card and rang up $1,589.86 in charges. Police are investigating.

Fighting on Prospect Street

On April 2 at 2:12 a.m., an officer came across two men fighting and yelling in the street on Prospect Street.

Antonio Rivera, 27, of Royersford, was highly intoxicated, according to police, and he was arrested for public drunkenness and cited for that and disorderly contact.

 Marijuana Possession

As an officer approached a black Volvo parked in the Pickering Creek Inn lot, two subjects were ducked down in the car. They ducked farther down as the officer approached at 12:50 a.m. April 2.

Behind the Bridge Street bar, Christopher T. Slater, 25, allegedly had a large metal grinder containing suspected marijuana, along with two multi-colored smoking pipes. A passenger, Gary Peilegrino, was also allegedly found with one smoking pipe and a metal container with suspected marijuana inside.

The two men were processed and charged with possession.
