Sue Gausch, a 1988 graduate of Phoenixville Area High School and current borough resident, did the area proud last week, as she won $1,000 as a contestant on Who Wants to be a Millionaire?, The Phoenix is reporting.

Gausch, who was joined in the Millionaire studio by her boyfriend Mark and her mother Anne, came agonizingly close to an even larger haul. Gausch made it up to the ninth question, but she got it incorrect, dropping her total winnings to $1,000.

The question that got her?

The Wynn hotel in Las Vegas has no elevator floors that begin with what number, as it’s considered bad luck in many Asian cultures?

Sue guessed eight. The answer, which we’re sure is seared into her memory, was four.
