Police Make Two DUI Arrests in Phoenixville

Erratic driving led to both charges, police say.

The following incidents were reported by the Schuylkill Township Police Department. Arrest does not suggest conviction.

A 30-year-old Phoenixville woman was charged with DUI on Feb. 17 after a Schuylkill Township Police Officer observed her driving erratically, the department is reporting. The woman was traveling east on the 1200 block of Valley Forge Road when it was spotted, and after the officer followed it for a brief period, a stop was initiated near the intersection of Eastgate Drive and Westhorpe Drive. The woman failed a breath test, field sobriety testing, and was taken to Phoenixville Hospital to have blood drawn for testing.

A 41-year-old Phoenixville man is facing DUI charges after Schuylkill Police say he was driving erratically on Feb. 16. According to police, on Feb. 16 at 1:40 a.m., Schuylkill Police witnessed a maroon Nissan Altima swerving on Pothouse Road. The officer initiated a stop near the area of Nutt Road and Kimbertown Road. The driver had glassy eyes and slurred speech, and he admitted to having consumed three beers that night. The man failed his field sobriety testing and was taken to Phoenixville Hospital to have blood drawn for testing.

George, how much do you pay for your subscription to Patch?

...Exactly. You people who bitch about the editorial content are just ridiculous. You pay _nothing_ for this site. You contribute _nothing_ here. Yet all you can do is just comment and complain. Your self-entitled attitude is everything that is wrong with America.

It doesn't matter that we do not pay for a subscription to this website. It's a matter of proper editing before a final article is submitted for publication. There are so many grammar errors and spelling errors on many of these articles. Any editor should triple check before it goes to print!

geez, you are barely coherent enough to even form a proper sentence. No wonder you hate Phoenixville, its public education system didn't do you any favors.
