Police: Reckless Driving Leads to DUI Arrest for Ohioan

An Ohio man was hit with multiple DUI charges over the weekend after police say he was driving recklessly in the borough.

Ramon Sanchez, 54, faces four counts of DUI and a count each of disregarding his traffic lane and careless driving stemming from the November 24 incident.

According to court documents, a Schuylkill Township Police officer witnessed Sanchez swerve several times in his pickup truck that evening, finally pulling him over on the 1000 block of West Bridge Street at 2:02 a.m.

The officer, upon speaking with Sanchez, noted he smelled like alcohol and has bloodshot eyes. Sanchez admitted to having had a few beers with dinner.

The officer then placed him in custody on suspicion of DUI and took him to Phoenixville Hospital, where he consented to have blood drawn for testing.
