Poll Results: For the Best Hoagie in Phoenixville, Head Bridgeside
We asked, you decided.
While the origin of the expression “hoagie” is hotly disputed, and the correctness of the term itself is an even more partisan matter, what’s become slightly more clear now is this: who makes the best one in Phoenixville.
With a late surge that carried it by Bob’s Haven and the field, the Bridgeside Deli and Grille won the title of best hoagie in Phoenixville in our weekly Reader’s Choice poll. The West High Street Italian market garnered 37 percent of the vote, to 26 percent for the Haven and 10 percent for third place finisher Hog’s Island.
“This place hands down has the best sandwiches i have ever had, hot or cold. Its convenient location is something for me to :) about and the fact that they deliver is even more great!!!!,” gushed Yelp commenter Adrienne J., echoing a sentiment that is, apparently, widely shared.

Excellent choice. Best cheese steaks in town.
Please get the correct street -- High Street, not Bridge Street.

When are we going to get a local editor that either knows the town or takes the time to learn about it?

We should just get used to this being the new Patch. Poor quality and a lack of attention to the local community. Lynn actually took pride in Phoenixville and in this site. Sad to see what it's become.
