Reeves Park Decked Out, Ready for Parade
Members of the Kiwanis Club of Phoenixville decorated over the weekend.
Editor's Note: The following was submitted by John and Linda Keenan, who co-chair the Reeves Park Decorating Committee for the Kiwanis Club of Phoenixville. To submit information to Phoenixville Patch, e-mail editor Lynn Jusinski at lynn.jusinski@patch.com.
Members of the Kiwanis Club of Phoenixville met in Reeves Park on Sunday, Nov. 27 to decorate both gazebos for the holidays.
Each gazebo is decorated with garland, white lights and red bows and features a large tree covered with white lights. The Kiwanis Club wants to thank John Colarusso who offered a generous discount on the two beautiful trees. Be sure to drive by Reeves Park to see these lovely decorations.
The Kiwanis Club will continue to contribute to the spirit of the holidays by sponsoring the annual Holiday Parade on Friday, Dec. 2. The parade will step off from Borough Hall at 7 p.m., proceeding from Church Street to Starr Street to Bridge Street, ending at Family Dollar.
The parade will feature the Phoenixville High School marching band, numerous costumed characters and fire trucks decked out with lights. Following the parade
Santa Claus will officiate at the lighting of the borough tree, located at the corner of Main and Bridge streets. The Phoenixville High School Vocal Ensemble will be performing at the tree lighting.
