Robber Sought in Phoenixville Federal Bank Incident

The 120 Main St. branch was hit sometime before 10:35 a.m. Wednesday.

No one was injured Wednesday morning during a robbery of Phoenixville Federal Bank and Trust, Sgt. Joseph Nemic of the Phoenixville Police Department confirmed Wednesday afternoon. The robbery was carried out by one man, who remains at large.

According to Nemic, sometime before 10:35 a.m., a white male entered the 120 Main Street branch and demanded cash from a teller at the bank's counter. Though he didn't display a gun, he suggested he was armed. The teller handed the man an undisclosed amount of cash and he left the bank headed southbound. He was in and out of the bank, according to police, in less than a minute.

None of the half-dozen employees in the bank at the time, or the two customers, were injured.

According to surveillance footage police acquired from the bank, the robber is roughly 6 feet tall and has a thin build. His face was obscured from witnesses and surveillance footage by a pair of sunglasses and a hooded sweatshirt.

A sign on the door at Phoenixville Federal Bank and Trust indicated the bank would be closed for the remainder of the day.

Comforting to see the transaction moving in the oppostie direction once in a while since the Fed has been stealing from the American public for OVER 100 YEARS. Read "The Case Against the Fed" by Murray Rothbard to learn the truth.

Murray, that is about as ignorant of a comment as you can have. Just because you have a problem with a bank (and I have issues with them as well, trust me), doesn't mean you should feel 'comfort' with an employee of the bank being ROBBED, probably threatened, etc. If you take comfort in that, you are sick.
