Spaghetti Dinner, Auction Slated for Saturday
Come out to enjoy some food and support a local theater group.
Editor's Note: The following was provided on behalf of the Kiwanis Club of Phoenixville and Firebird Children's Theatre.
The Kiwanis Club of Phoenixville will hold a spaghetti dinner and silent auction on Saturday, Feb. 4 at the Kimberton Fire Company.
The event is being held by the Kiwanis Club in partnership with the Firebird Children’s Theatre, which provides theater opportunities to children of the area. A spaghetti dinner, provided by Franco’s Italian Ristorante, will be served from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. with the auction beginning at 7 p.m.
Hundreds of items will be up for bid in the silent auction with several special items offered in a live auction.
Throughout the years, the Kiwanis Club has partnered with various community groups to support their programs. This year’s dinner/auction will aid the Firebird Children’s Theatre in extending the theater experience to more children in our community and will also support Kiwanis Club projects to benefit children.
Past dinner/auctions have raised almost $90,000 and have helped furnish a children’s medical examination room at The Clinic, helped fund the summer reading program of the Phoenixville Library and build a new playground for Barkley Elementary School.
Recent dinner/auctions have provided scholarships to the summer camp program of the Communities That Care organization and helped build playgrounds at Franklin Commons for Stepping Stone Education Center and Phoenixville Children’s Learning Center.
It is strongly recommended that tickets be purchased in advance as total ticket sales are limited to 400 people. Tickets may be purchased through the Kiwanis Club of Phoenixville 610-933-9575 or the Firebird Children’s Theatre (610-324-8425) or from members of both organizations.
Tickets are $12 in advance and $15 at the door.
