Steel City Hosts First Phoenixville's Got Talent

Steel City in Phoenixville hosted its first Phoenixville's Got Talent competition.

Steel City Coffeehouse in Phoenixville was packed to the walls Tuesday evening with those who came out to witness their first performance of "Phoenixville's Got Talent."

The talent competing consisted of singers of all kinds: rap artists, acoustic guitar players, harmonica players, saxophone players, duets and much more.

1st place: Ramoth-Gilead, with the original song "Play for Change"

2nd place: Julia Richter and Alexa Ross, who performed "In His Eyes" from Jekyll and Hyde

3rd Place: Justin Duncan, who performed an acting monologue

A total of 15 acts took the stage, with the top three winning prizes. First place received a trophy and $100 cash; second place received a trophy as well as $50 cash, and third place received a trophy and $25 cash.  

Everyone present received a ballot to vote for their favorite performer. 

Steel City has open mic nights every Thursday night, as well as various local performers throughout each week.
