Summer Camps in the Phoenixville Area for 2012
Looking for a good, fun place to send the wee ones this summer?
With the (very mild) winter almost over, summer camps are right around the corner.
Phoenixville Patch offered up a rundown last year and it proved popular, so we wanted to give you some ideas of great places to consider when looking around for summer camps.

Aerials Gymnastics Center Summer Camp
Where: Aerials Gymnastics, in the Shoppes at Valley Forge, Phoenixville
What: Aerials has full- and half-day camps running throughout the summer. A variety of camps are available for gymnasts age 3 and up. A CheerNastics camp is also offered at Aerials.
Price: Prices vary depending on what type of camp you choose.

Great Valley Nature Center Adventure and Nature Camps
Where: Great Valley Nature Center, State and Hollow roads, Phoenixville
What: For youngsters who love nature, Great Valley Nature Center offers a wide variety of camp choices for the summer. One particularly interesting choice is the Nature of Hollywood camp, where kids will learn about herbology via the magic of Harry Potter and find out more about the creatures and places that appear in films.
Price: Prices vary and GVNC members receive reduced rates.

Kimberton Waldorf Summer Camps
Where: Kimberton Waldorf School, 410 W. Seven Stars Road, Phoenixville
What: Facilitated by Kimberton Waldorf staff, this active summer camp will have kids exploring nature and partaking in a variety of activities, from cooking to putting on a play. Camps are available for kids from age 4 through grade seven.
Price: $200 to $250 depending on camp choice and full- or half-day options

Summer Camp at Phoenix Village Art Center
Where: Phoenix Village Art Center, 207 Bridge St., Phoenixville
What: With options for three-, four- or five-day camps, parents can also choose from nine camp sessions throughout the summer. Art camp is held in the center right in downtown Phoenixville.
Price: $55 to $290; members receive discounts

Summer Camp at Piece of Paradise Farm
Where: Piece of Paradise Farm, 260 Creek Road, Phoenixville
What: Very few spots are left at this camp that focuses on all things equestrian. Check out the website to find out more, and also take a look at this article from when Phoenixville Patch visited the campers during this past summer.
Price: $335 per week

Rock & Roll After School Summer Band Camp
Where: Rock & Roll After School, 400 Franklin Ave., Ste. 109, Phoenixville
What: There are five sessions of this summer camp slated for 2012. You can enroll online and all levels of experience are welcome.
Price: Register by March 31 to get a special rate of $325 per week.

Kimberton Waldorf School hosts Summer Camp sessions all throughout the month of July, with outdoor play constituting the heart of our program. Tadpole Camp is for children ages 4-6, and our Active Games and Adventures Nature Camp is for school aged children who've just completed 1st through 7th grade. Also, while not in Phoenixville but close by, iD Tech Camps offers summer camps in Philadelphia at Villanova http://www.internaldrive.com/locations/pa-summer-camps-pennsylvania-computer-camps/villanova-university-philadelphia/. At camp, kids and teens ages 7-17 experience the college campus while creating iPhone apps, video games, C++/Java programs, robots, websites, movies, and more. There is also iD Gaming Academy for Teens only held at Villanova.
