Mann passed away on December 30.
Walter N. Mann, 74, husband of Kathryn E. (Schenskie) Mann, of Phoenixville, formerly Philadelphia, passed away on Sunday evening, December 30, 2012, in his residence. Born in Philadelphia, he was a son of the late Helen E. (Raab) and Walter N. Mann.
Walt was employed as a sales manager for Sid Harvey’s Inc., in King of Prussia. He was a member of St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church in Phoenixville. He was formerly a member of St. Michaels Lutheran Church Kensington in Philadelphia, where he was a member of church council, the choir and the brotherhood, and was a Sunday school teacher and youth counselor. He was a former Boy Scout leader and enjoyed golf.
In addition to his loving wife of 54 years, Mr. Mann is survived by his sons, Walter C., husband of Wanda Mann, of Eagleville and William J., husband of Patricia Mann, of Philadelphia; sisters, Helen, wife of Frank Burns, of Friendsville, PA, Ethel, wife of Jerry Reid, of Cinnaminson, NJ, and Kathy, wife of Nory Pamatmat, of Petaluma, CA; grandchildren, Ryan, husband of Holly Mann, Ashley, wife of David Smith, Brent, Adam, Nathan and Lucas Mann; and great grandchildren, David Smith Jr. and Stephen Mann. He was preceded in death by his brother Joseph Mann, husband of Patricia Mann, of Pitman, NJ.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his memorial service at the St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, 355 St. John’s Circle, Phoenixville, PA 19460, on Monday, January 7, 2013, at 11:00 a.m., with the Rev. Dr. Cynthia L. Krommes officiating. Friends will be received from 10:00-11:00 a.m. at the Church. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Walt’s name to the St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church at the above address or to the Seasons Hospice Foundation, 700 S.
