Weekend Planner: Dog Days of Summer and More

Get out and enjoy a jam-packed Saturday.

Sunday’s weather isn’t looking too great, but good news—all of the events on our weekend planner are for Saturday, which the weather folks say will be beautiful.

The Freedoms Foundation at Valley Forge is hosting a Dog Days of Summer event this weekend. If you’ve never visited the sprawling grounds located near Valley Forge National Park in Schuylkill Township, consider making the (very short) trip.

Additionally, this weekend includes a Community Day at Kimberton Whole Foods, bird watching at Black Rock Sanctuary, a fundraiser to support Lupus research downtown and some clowning around in the Kiwanis Children’s Plaza.
