Virginia “Jinny” Miller MacLelland, 83, wife, mother, grandmother and community volunteer, passed away peacefully on April 1, 2013, surrounded by her family.  Born in Somerton, PA, the youngest daughter of Jane and Jacob Miller, she graduated from Girls’ High and Brown Preparatory School in Philadelphia.  Jinny was the beloved wife of Robert MacLelland Jr. for sixty years.  The couple celebrated their milestone anniversary in January at The Greenbriar Resort in West Virginia.   Jinny was the devoted and proud mother of Robert Bruce MacLelland (Buffy), Cheryl Ann Swift, Stuart Miller …
  Edith M. (Dewees) Toth, wife of the late Albert L. Toth, of Sanatoga, formerly of Reading, Pennsylvania, passed away on Monday, April 29, 2013, in the Reading Memorial Hospital, Reading, Pa. Born in Valley Forge, she was the daughter of the late William and Edith (Compton) Dewees. Mrs. Toth was a 1953 graduate of Upper Merion High School. She was a devoted wife, mother of five, homemaker, and crafter.  She lived in Geissen, West Germany and San Juan, Puerto Rico with her husband and enjoyed traveling when able, new foods, music, and being with her family. David H. Katz, 72, husband of Susan I. (Rea) Katz, of Phoenixville, PA, died on Friday, April 26, 2013 in Devon Manor. Born in New Britain, CT, he was the son of the late Leon and Sophie (Feinblum) Katz. David served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. Kathleen P. Shields, 67, of Phoenixville, PA, died on Thursday, April 25, 2013 in Manor Care King of Prussia. Born in Philadelphia, PA, she was the daughter of the late Francis X. and Ruth M.(Christiansen) Shields. Kathleen proudly served in the United States Army as a Nurse during the Vietnam War, and was awarded the Bronze Star, she then worked at the Valley Forge Army Hospital in Phoenixville. Hubert O. Thacker, 87, husband of the late Doris (Elliott) Thacker, of Royersford, PA, died on Wednesday, April 24, 2013 in Seasons Hospice, Phoenixville, PA. Born in Council Bluffs, Iowa, he was the son of the late Hubert and Laura (White) Thacker. Hubert served in the United States Navy during World War II. Francis J. "Jake" McBride, 88, of Phoenixville, PA, died on Sunday morning, April 21, 2013. Born in Phoenixville, PA, he was the son of the late James and Anne (Binstead) McBride. Jake served as a Sergeant in the United States Army during World War II. MaryAnna “Pepper” (Hoffman) Kershaw, 82, wife of the late Isaac Kershaw III, passed away quietly with her family present on Monday, April 15, 2013.  Born in Spring City, she was the daughter of the late Wayne and Ruth (Styer) Hoffman.
