  A 20-year-old Delaware County man is facing felony statutory rape charges for having sex with a 14-year-old Phoenixville teen. According to an affidavit of probable cause filed in the court case, the two met through an online dating service. Police say that teen initiated contact with Alexander Stinger of Upper Darby through the website back in "July/August 2012." According to police, the girl told Stinger that she was 14 and "Stinger told her that he did not care about her age."   East Pikeland Police are searching for a culprit or culprits in a burglary that happened sometime Monday or Tuesday. According to police, "someone entered a home in the first block of Ruth Avenue by breaking a basement window. They removed cash, cell phone and a wallet." Anyone with information about the burglary should send an anonymous e-mail to East Pikeland police or call the police station at 610-935-0606.

A man and woman from Pottstown have been hit with drug charges for their role in an April drug bust that occurred at a Phoenixville 7-Eleven, police are reporting. On April 12, Joseph Merrill McIntosh, a Philadelphia man who police say sells heroin in the Phoenixville area, was arrested at the 7-Eleven on the 200 block of Nutt Road after he attempted to deliver two bundles of heroin to a prospective customer who was working with authorities as an informant, police say. A 59-year-old Phoenixville man is in Chester County Prison after police say he assaulted his wife and threatened to stab her during an argument in their Garfield Avenue home. On April 16 at 2:39 p.m., Phoenixville Police were dispatched to the 1200 block of Garfield Avenue for a report of a domestic assault. According to court documents, the defendant’s wife told police that she and her husband were having an argument about how much alcohol he had consumed that day when he struck her in the head. A 30-year-old Philadelphia man is in Chester County Prison after police say he sold heroin to an informant behind a Nutt Road convenience store last week. On Friday at approximately 5 p.m., under the direction of Chester County Detectives and Phoenixville Police, an informant called Joseph Merrill McIntosh and asked for heroin. According to court documents, McIntosh agreed to sell the informant two bundles of heroin in exchange for cash. A 22-year-old Phoenixville man was charged with DUI after police say they found him asleep at the wheel of a running vehicle at the intersection of Route 23 and Mowere Road. On March 18 at 2:39 a.m., an East Pikeland Police officer watched a green Mazda sit motionless on Mowere Road, facing Route 23, while the traffic light twice cycled from red to green. Former Phoenixville Area High School student Monique Robinson, 19, went to trial on Monday for her role in the September 2011 murder of a Phoenixville man, according to the Times Herald. Robinson, 18 at the time of the crime, faces charges of robbery, conspiracy, and first-, second- and third-degree murder.
