Admission: $5.00 per person (benefits Library programs). Each attendee may bring one item for appraisal.
Have a piece of glass or china, an old toy or game, book or ephemera, silver, coin, picture or painting, or any other item about which you’d like to know its history or value? Bring it in for an evening of enlightenment, enjoyment and, possibly, treasure. Leon will offer a general valuation of your item and will use it to weave a story about the world of antiques and collectibles.
Leon Castner is a Certified Appraiser of Personal Property and Director of Education of The International Society of Appraisers. He's appraised everything from the Watergate Papers to the contents of the house of one of the Housewives of New Jersey. He's the popular co-host of the nationally syndicated radio show, "Value This with Brian and Leon" and teaches courses across the US and Canada. He is the co-author of the book "Betcha Didn't Know That" and was the series editor for the Collector's Compass series by Martingale Press. He had his own auction gallery in northern New Jersey for over 30 years and knows the antique & collectible world inside and out.
