Greetings from the Kiwanis Club of Phoenixville!  We are preparing to run a new fundraiser which we are calling:  Restaurant Bingo and Super Basket Raffle.  Make sure you save the date of March 29, 2014.  This event will be held from 6 to 9 p.m. at the Covered Bridge Room at Kimberton Fire Company.

We are encouraging couples to attend together but singles are welcome as well.  This will not be your normal Basket Bingo.   Guests will be able to play 20 regular games of BINGO.  The winner of each game will receive a great restaurant package.  There will be opportunities to win other special restaurant packages by playing 3 special games.  In addition, throughout the evening you will be able to purchase chances on numerous raffle baskets.  The evening will conclude with the drawing of the winners of the 50/50 and of all raffle baskets.  Light refreshments will be available for purchase throughout the evening.  The cost for this event is $20.00 per person.

Since 2002 the Kiwanis Club of Phoenixville has raised well over $100,000 in funds for a variety of local charities through various fundraisers.  This year we are raising funds to purchase and install a “Welcome To Phoenixville” sign.  In addition, a portion of the funds raised will be dedicated to supporting the Kiwanis Club’s programs for children and youth.  We have set a goal this year of raising $15,000.  The exact design and location of the sign are still in the planning stages.  We are hopeful that it will be an interactive board that will not only welcome people to Phoenixville, but also announce community events.  On the reverse side (the side you will see as you leave town) the sign will show the logos for the various service clubs of Phoenixville.

Tickets are available from any Kiwanian.  In addition, tickets may be purchased at Foresta’s Meats, 1098 W. Bridge Street in Phoenixville and Franco Ristorante, 226 Bridge Street in Phoenixville.   For further information please contact Chairman John Keenan at 610-933-3332.  We have a limited number of tickets available.  This will surely sell out.  Don’t wait till the last minute to get your tickets.
