PAL Youth Golf Clinic Planned

PHOENIXVILLE PAL AND PICKERING VALLEY GOLF COURSE HOST YOUTH GOLF CLINIC TO TEACH VALUABLE LIFE SKILLS

The Phoenixville Area Police Athletic League (PAL) is partnering with Pickering Valley Golf Course to introduce local youth to the world of golf.  The clinic is available to all children ages seven through 13 and will focus on teaching fundamental skills, as well as building confidence, integrity and resilience.

This 4-week clinic will be held at Pickering Valley Golf Course on May 5, 12, 19 and June 2, from 5-6 p.m.   A $50 sign-up fee includes all four golf lessons conducted by golf professionals, Bobby Bohrer and Joy Thompson, golf clubs and a snack at the end of each lesson.  Participants will learn golf etiquette, sportsmanship and key skills to help them succeed on and off the course.

“PAL programs, such as golf, wrestling, boxing and babysitting, teach core values and life skills to help kids succeed in school, at home and in life,” said Officer Jim Deoria, executive director of the Phoenixville Area Police Athletic League.  “Our programs are designed to motivate, educate and inspire youth to make healthy choices.  PAL’s purpose is to give children a solid foundation to become independent, successful adults.”

PAL sports are open to all local youth and focus on introducing young athletes to programs that teach valuable life skills such as honesty, respect and perseverance, in combination with core athletic skills.  To register for the PAL Golf Clinic, contact Jim Deoria at 610-917-3735 or email Paljimed@yahoo.com.
