Soroptimist Club of Phoenixville challenge you to find your solemate!

The Soroptimist Club of Phoenixville is working with our lovely Dogwood Princess 2013 to sponsor a shoe recycling event.  You have an opportunity to clean out your closet AND help people in third world countries at the same time.

Collection sites are set up around Phoenixville---just bring in your old shoes, and we will do the rest!  We will accept any old shoes, except for the followingheavy winter boots, skates, blades, flip flops, slippers and singles (shoe without a mate!).  Sandals are fine, but not plastic flip flops, please.

Collection boxes can be found at Phoenixville Federal Banks, Foresta’s, Stepping Stone Education Center, Gateway Pharmacy, National Penn Bank, Kiddie Academy, Park House and Susquehanna Bank.

All donations will be distributed through an organization called Shoebox Recycling to people around the world who are in need of shoes. Donors are invited to leave a note in the shoes for the recipients, and you may receive a thank you from your “solemate”.

The Phoenixville Soroptimist Club is proud to be a part of this worthwhile endeavor, and to support women and girls in our local community.  Soroptimists are women at their best, working to help other women to be their best. As the leading women's organization in our local area, we unite through volunteer efforts to enable women and girls to live their dreams, take control of their lives, and live according to their own values
