Spring Mill Senior Living goes western!

Spring Mill Senior Living held its third annual End of Summer Party on Saturday, Sept. 14.   Residents, accompanied by family and Spring Mill staff, headed outside for the afternoon to celebrate Country Western-style.  “We had traditional western fare for lunch,” said Activities Director,  Amy McCormick. “Our musical entertainment was provided by the Bill Koss Combo, a local Pottstown band.  They played a wide variety of music including country western and big band era tunes.  They’re a big hit in our community.”  In addition to the food and dancing, staff entertained party-goers with their rendition of the Boot Scootin'  Boogie line dance.  There were also several organized activities for residents, staff, and their families, such as Wild West trivia and a lasso contest.  “It was good old-fashioned fun,” McCormick said of the event which also celebrated Spring Mill's 4th anniversary. “We have heard only praise and happy comments from residents and their families. The residents see how much effort goes into putting everything together and they really appreciate it. We have a great community here and the staff enjoy making the residents smile.  A special thank you goes out to everyone who made this day a success!"
