For an outdoor Fall wedding Aquilante was chosen. Involved set ups in a barn and tent were tastefully handled with a fine buffet. Wedding coordination was lacking with several annoyances such as, cocktail hour wasn't announced or that dinner was being served or where one table was never called. No toast was made for the newly weds with opened champagne bottles sitting on tables. Specially ordered cocktail napkins never appeared and at the affair's end Aquilante workers left no glasses for guests to consume the remaining beverages.
At our initial meeting the engaged couple and their parents were promised "beautiful Italian wedding pastry trays" for the bride and groom to present at each guest table. These "fancy" baked items were perfect for children. Brach candies atop of bargain cookies on plastic ten inch plates was an embarrassment and they stayed where his servers put them. So much for Aquilante promises and "there's something Italian ..."
