Blobfest and Rain: an Eerily Cool Photo Combination in Phoenixville

The 14th annual Blobfest got off to a soaking wet start Friday night on Bridge Street in Phoenixville.

Water was everywhere, but it dampen the spirits of the 300 people in the sold-out audience at the Colonial Theater.  They were there to see, and give, a show. The movie was not playing, that will happen in double features running over the weekend.

Hundreds of people stood outside in the rain, anxiously awaitng the re-enactment of the run out scene from the movie The Blob which was shot largely in and around Phoenixville. 

Raindrops on the Patch camera lens made for some appropriate and cool special effects in some of these photos.
