Firebird Festival at Friendship Field a Go Again This Year
There had been some discussion about moving the festival.
There was never any question that the Firebird Festival, arguably one of Phoenixville's biggest events of the year, would be back.
But there was some question about where it would be.
After some debate, The Phoenixville Borough Council agreed that the event should once again be held at Friendship Field, The Daily Local News reported.
The festival, which features the burning of a giant phoenix, used to be held on what is now the site of Borough Hall. Last year was the first year it was held at Friendship Field. Attendance was down, but the weather wasn't exactly cooperative.
So, mark your calendars now: The Firebird Festival will be Dec. 6 at Friendship Field.
