Firebird Festival Reveals Planned Layout for Friendship Field

Organizers say they'll present the plan to township officials on Monday. They also want your help.

The Firebird Festival is now scheduled for December 14 at Friendship Field. Because the event is now being held in a public park the organizers are going to be working even more closely with Phoenixville officials.

Festival Organizer Henrik Stubbe Teglbjaerg has now posted the plan for the layout of the festival on the Festival website, including vending areas, fencing and the location of the burning bird on the field. According to the posting and the Facebook announcement, Teglbjaerg plans to present the map/plan to township officials on Monday.  Under the approval granted by the Borough Council this month, Borough staff members must sign off on the plans.

On Facebook, Teglbjaerg is encouraging Festival Fans to comment on the plan and get involved at the website.

Organizers are also trying to raise $10,000 in donations to help defray the cost of staging the festival.  Read more about the fundraising effort and how to help here on Phoenixville Patch.
