Five Things to Do in Phoenixville on Your Week Off

If you're kicking back at home between the holidays, here are a few ideas to get you going.

Have a few days off this week? You might already have snow-induced cabin fever, or maybe you're just fine staying in and relaxing for a few days. Either way, here's a list that encompasses either choice. Everything's in the Phoenixville area, so you won't have to go far to find something to do this week.

1.    Try a new restaurant. The downtown district – and the nearby townships – are full of great places to eat. Pick one you haven't tried before and give it a shot. If you don't want to leave the house, order takeout or send a family member out to pick up the goods.

This week,  is playing the documentary on the financial crisis, "Inside Job," along with "Summer Wars," a Japanese film geared to younger audiences. Even the Phoenixville Public Library gets in on the movie fun this week, showing tomorrow morning at 9:30 a.m. and on Wednesday at 9:30 a.m.

5.    Drop the kids of for the day. Phoenix Karate on Bridge Street offers up for youngsters tomorrow, Wednesday and Thursday. You don't have to be a member, and the cost is $40 per child. Then, stay in and relax or go out on the town.
