Backyard Bird Count

  • When: Saturday, Feb 16 from 9:30 - 11 a.m.
  • Where: Great Valley Nature Center State Rd & Hollow Rd, Phoenixville
  • Why Go:Come to GVNC to participate in a real Bird Count..we will teach you how!  We'll start with the basics of bird identification, go on a bird walk, and then we'll enter the info in the GVVC data base.
  • Cost: Free

Soup Sale

  • When: Saturday, Feb 16 from 11 am - 2 pm
  • Where: Valley Forge Volunteer Fire Company 630 Valley Park Rd, Phoenixville
  • Why Go: The Valley Forge Volunteer Fire Company Auxiliary is holding a Soup Sale at our main station, at 630 Valley Park Rd. The homemade soups for sale will include Chicken Corn, Vegetable Beef, Pasta Fagioli, Loaded Baked Potato, South American Black Bean and more.  All will be available in one quart containers. Open to the public, all are welcome!
  • Cost: prices vary

Parents Night Out

  • When: Saturday, Feb 16 from 5 - 9 pm
  • Where:Great Valley Nature Center State Rd & Hollow Rd, Phoenixville
  • Why Go:Parents, have a fun night out knowing that your kids are having a great time at GVNC.  We will have piza, take an evening nature walk, play some games, meet some animals, and maybe even make a craft or two.  Space is limited, sign up early.
  • Cost: $35

14th Annual Beef & Beer Comedy Night Benefit

  • When: Saturday, Feb 16 from 7 - 11 pm
  • Where:Kimberton Fire Company 752 Pike Springs Rd, Phoenixville
  • Why Go: The event is being held at the Covered Bridge Room of the KFC, 61 Firehouse Lane in Kimberton. The doors will open at 6:30pm. The Menu will include: Boars head Roast Beef and Turkey Sandwiches, Cole Slaw and Potato Salad, Beer, Soft Drinks, Water and Coffee, Potato Chips and Pretzels, and assorted desserts.
  • Cost: $25

Owl Prowl and Dinner

  • When: Sunday, Feb 17 from 5 - 8:30 pm
  • Where: Great Valley Nature Center State Rd & Hollow Rd, Phoenixville
  • Why Go: Join us for an evening of dinner, live animals, and an outdoor night hike.  We will begin our evening with dinner, and then you will meet our live owls up close and personal.  After that we will go on a short night hike to call, listen for, and watch owls.
  • Cost: $35
