More Scenes From Irene

Flooding overtook many area roads, and winds knocked down trees and cut off power to some areas in and around Phoenixville.

Things are getting back to normal Monday, and school started as scheduled in the Phoenixville Area School District. 

Bridge Street is open, and the underpass that was flooded yesterday on Route 29 is now passable. If you see any area roads that are still closed, please share that info in the comments. 

At Valley Forge Park, it's open during normal hours but the park did sustain some damage from Hurricane Irene. Here was the morning update from the park (thanks to reader Erin Marie for sharing the info from the park's Facebook page):

Route 252 closed between PA Turnpike and Route 23, Yellow Springs Road is closed at 252 by the covered bridge, the Valley Creek Trail is closed, the River Trail at Betzwood is closed, the Schuylkill River Trail is mostly open but there is a down tree at the connector from Betzwood, Pawlings Rd is closed, Inner Line Drive is closed. The Joseph Plumb Martin trail is open but has a lot of debris. Please use caution on all trails and roads today.
