SEPTA Workers Set to Strike

Buses, subways and trolleys would be impacted; Regional Rail would not be affected.

SEPTA workers are set to strike at midnight after the union failed to show up for talks Friday.

Contract negotiations were set to continue Friday morning, The Philadelphia Inquirer reported, but representatives from Transport Workers Union Local 234 didn’t show up.

That means that 4,700 SEPTA employees will go on strike at 12:01 a.m. Saturday.
