Two of the World's Biggest Celebs Slept in this 'Hidden' House in Nearby Chesco

Two of the 20th Century's most famous people in the world slept in this Chester County house.

Have you ever seen this house? Probably not, unless you were invited by the owners and know exactly where to look.

It's hidden in the heart of a late 20th Century development in Easttown. According to the organizers of this year's Ninth Annual Tredyffrin Historic House Tour it's also where Winston Churchill and Elizabeth Taylor spent the night. (Not together).

The entrance used to be a grand, tree lined driveway stretching from Sugartown Road and up to the front door.  The driveway is now much shorter and ends with a mailbox on a post on a local development street in Berwyn.

You can tour this and seven other never-before-on-the-tour historic houses as well as a church and what the Tredyffrin Historic Trust website describes as a "party barn".

According to the site "the 9th Annual Historic House Tour on Saturday, September 28 will take you behind the scenes as the doors of eight historic properties in Tredyffrin and Easttown Townships are opened to visitors. The house tour features eight historic properties, including private homes, a church and a historic ‘party’ barn.  The historic properties on the 2013 house tour date from the mid-18th century to the early 20th century."

There's much more to the legend of this Easttown house which dates back to 1740.  You can learn about it on the tour and later this week on TE Patch.
