The event featured rides, food, live entertainment, games and more.

He was still a bit damp from his turn in the dunk tank that evening. Kids lined up to take a chance to dunk a teacher.

Shirker said he volunteered because he hoped to raise money. During his stint in the dunk tank, he encouraged the kids and took it well when he hit the water.

Elsewhere, teens and tweens gathered in front of a music stage to listen to bands, as proud parents videotaped.

Volunteers from St. Basil's sold tickets to the food and drink tent, where patrons could score boiled pierogies, kielbasa sandwiches with sauerkraut and more.

Those seeking more traditional fair food could hit up stands featuring funnel cakes, ice cream, fried Oreos and candy bars and an apple piled with caramel and nuts.
