Wild Things Invade Colonial Theater

They came from under the earth to delight hundreds of kids at the Colonial Theater in Phoenixville.

Boris is a carnivorous glass or legless lizard. His favorite food is snails. He can snap through a snail shell with his powerful jaw.
He can also escape the grip of a predator by literally snap off his own tail to set himself free.

Zookeeper Erin from the Philadelphia Zoo traveling zoo showed him off to hundreds of excited kids who packed the Colonial Theater for the Wild Things show sponsored by the Phoenixville Public Library on Thursday morning.

The zookeepers also brought an armadillo and a polecat ferret in a show that centered on animals that burrow and live in the ground.
