Bringing Home the Bacon Brothers

The Bacon Brothers Band plays a benefit concert for local charities.

Phoenixville's Colonial Theater hosted the bacon Brothers Band Saturday night for a concert to benefit the French & Pickering Creeks Conservation Trust, Inc and the Association for the  Colonial Theater.

This was fifth time Michael and Kevin Bacon brought their band to Phoenixville for a fundraiser. Colonial Theater Executive Director Mary Foote tells Patch the brothers, who grew p in Center City but spent weekends and summers at their grandmother's house in Phoenixville, perform at the Colonial about once every year and a half, as their schedules allow.

Michael Bacon, who is nine years old than Kevin is an award-winning composer who has done extensive work writing music for TV, movies, and documentaries.

Kevin Bacon is an accomplished musician as well as being a movie and TV actor who grew up watching his older brother play music. The Bacon Brothers Band has been together for 20 ears acoor
