A stunning epic about the endurance of family love.  A charming but bumbling waiter gifted with a colorful imagination and an irresistible sense of humor wins the heart of the woman he loves.  He goes to great lengths to ensure his vision for his wife and young son that life is, or should be, beautiful, as they are imprisoned in a concentration camp during World War II.
