POPLAR CULTURE - THE CELEBRATION OF A TREE

The Wharton Esherick Museum presents Poplar Culture, the celebration of a tree. Poplar Culture: the Celebration of a Tree features works by more than 40 contmporary woodworkers, crafted from a tulIp poplar tree that stood outside the door of Wharton Esherick's Chester County, Pennsylvania studio. 

Take this opportunity to own a piece of the studio's history or just come out and see these works of art. 

The show runs from May 21 to June 10, 2012.  Hours are 10 to 4,  Monday thru Saturday and 12 to 4 on Sunday's.  A special preview party will be held Sunday May 20th from 2 to 5 p.m.  Music by the Rue de la Pompe Band, Silent Auction, Cocktails and hors d'ouevres will be served.  Admission to the Preview Paqrty and Sale is $75.00 per person and tickets are available on line at www.whartonesherickmuseum.org or call 610-644-5822.  Admission is free for the balance of the show.

Historic Yellow Springs- 1685 Art School Road,  Chester Springs, PA 19425.
Proceeds from the show benefit The Wharton Esherick Museum and Historic Yellow Springs.
