Ursinus College Wind Ensemble to Perform

The Ursinus College Wind Ensemble will present a concert on Saturday, April 14, at 7:30 p.m. in the Kaleidoscope Performing Arts Center’s Lenfest Theater. The event is free and open to the public. No tickets or reservations are required.

Conducted by Associate Professor Holly Gaines, the Wind Ensemble will perform a program of standard and new works for wind band, including John Zdechlik’s “Chorale and Shaker Dance,” a traditional piece of the band repertoire, as well as modern works by composers Samuel Hazo and James Curnow. The program will also feature a chamber winds ensemble comprised of graduating members of the band, who will perform a Suite by Josef Haydn. Another highlight of the program will feature senior Neuroscience major Patrick Skelton on a movement from Mozart’s famed Clarinet Concerto.
