Get Out: Egg Hunts, Adventure, Bargains and More in the Phoenixville Area

Family-friendly activities and a host of benefits fill this weekend's calendar.

With Easter right around the corner, a couple egg hunts (and no, we won’t be calling them “Spring Spheres”) are on tap for this weekend, along with a few benefits, a selection from the Kiwanis Adventure Series and a healthy kids event at the YMCA.

Why Go: This is part of the Kiwanis’ Adventure Series, and this show will cover Alaska and RV travel in that state.

Pricing: $7 for adults, $2 for students

Rock and Roll After School Benefit Concert

Where/When: Steel City Coffeehouse, 203 Bridge St., Phoenixville, Fri., April 15, 7:30 p.m.

Why Go: See the students of Rock and Roll After School perform, and help raise money for the Give the Gift of Music Foundation, which donates musical instruments and/or financial assistance to eligible music students in the greater Phoenixville area.

Pricing: $8 advance tickets, $10 at the door

Where/When: , Wed., April 13 – Sat., April 16, 10 a.m. – 4 p.m.

Why Go: Find clothing, household items, toys and tools at this yard sale.

Pricing: Free admission

Where/When: , Sat., April 16, 9:30 a.m.

Why Go: Get pictures with the Easter Bunny and let the kids run free finding eggs and winning prizes. The egg hunt starts at 10 a.m., and you can get Easter Bunny photos starting at 9:30 a.m.

Pricing: Free

Where/When: , Sat., April 16, 1 p.m.

Why Go: The Easter Bunny will be joined by Mickey and Minnie and Barney. Bring your own basket and enjoy this free hunt sponsored by Communities That Care and the Phoenixville Recreation Department.

Why Go: Bring your kids out to the Y for games, health information and snacks, activities, prizes and much more.

Pricing: Free

Where/When: , Sat., April 16, 2 p.m. – 1:30 a.m.

Why Go: This event features multiple bands and all the money goes to benefit Japan earthquake/tsunami relief.
