'Shrek: The Musical' Coming to Phoenixvlle

The musical captures not only the wonderful story of Shrek you've already seen on-screen, but also carries a powerful and important message -- be proud to be yourself.

Once upon a time, there was an animated film about a lovable ogre named Shrek and a beautiful princess named Fiona ... and now, that story comes to life on the stage in Shrek: The Musical!  

Looking for something fun to do with friends or family this summer?  See a live musical production, right here in Phoenixville. The Firebird Theatre is proud to present its live Broadway musical summer show on July 25 and 26th at Phoenixville Area Middle School Auditorium on the campus of the middle and high school! Adults and children of all ages will enjoy this show backed by a live orchestra.

The Friday, July 25th show is at 7 p.m., while the Saturday shows are a matinee at 1 p.m and an evening performance at 7 p.m. Tickets can be purchased through Firebird Theatre’s website at www.firebirdtheatre.net.

Starring Andrew Vitovitch as Shrek, Kaitlin Cavallo as Princess Fiona, Alyssa Briddes as Ogress Fiona, Nick Capriotti as Donkey, with Jack Stillwell as Lord Farquaad and Lauren Dougherty as Dragon, plus a talented ensemble.

Shrek the Musical is directed by Tracy Evans, with Chris Buck (Stage Manager/Assistant Director), Brian Horoho and Sarah Fralich (Musical Direction), Lew Osterhoudt (Technical Director), Gail Oldfield (Choreography), Janet Hoehl  and Martha Gross (Producers), Sophie Withers (Costume Designer), Diana Kelly (Set Designer).

The Phoenixville Area Middle School auditorium is located at 1330 Main St. in Phoenixville. It is air-conditioned and fully handicapped accessible. Parking is free in the school parking lot.
