Boston Market Closes Abruptly

Workers spent Tuesday clearing out the contents of the Boston Market restaurant on Route 23 in Phoenixville.

The Boston Market store on Route 23 in Phoenixville has closed. Passers by on Tuesday morning alerted Patch after seeing furniture and awnings from the restaurant sitting outside in the parking lot.

A man who identified himself as a long time employee but who declined to give his name for publication told Patch the property owner "apparently got a better offer on the rent."

Some employees will be transferring to other Boston Chicken locations in West Chester and Norristown. Signs posted on the doors thank customers for their patronage and invite customer to visit those locations.

The restaurant manager who was busy dismantling the restaurant declined to talk with Patch. One employee told Patch he Boston Market had been in that location for at least 19 years.

What would you like to see go into the building to replace Boston Market?
