Frozen Yogurt Spot Coming to Bridge Street

Yum Yum Yogurt is opening just in time for spring.

Spring is just around the corner. And just in time for the warm weather, Phoenixville is getting a new frozen yogurt business.

On March 14, Dean Mazzotta, a Lansdale-based real estate developer, is opening Yum Yum Yogurt at 178 Bridge Street.

"We're trying hard [to get the shop ready]," the owner said this week. "Then we're going to have the grand opening later on."

The eatery will boast outdoor seating and 10 delicious yogurt flavors complimented by over 40 toppings. When the business opens its doors on Thursday, the initial flavor lineup will include Tropical Sorbet, Wild Strawberry, Birthday Cake, Tahitian Vanilla, Cookies and Cream, Dreamy Dark Chocolate, Cupcake, Espresso, Old Fashioned Peanut Butter, and Sea-salt and Carmel Pretzel.

Hours will be 11:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Sunday through Thursday, and 11:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. on weekends.

Yum Yum is also still filling out its opening staff. Mazzotta said anyone interested in applying for positions ranging from closing staff to shift manager can swing by the store anytime during the week to fill out an application.

He said his hopes are high, for his store, and the downtown it now calls home.

"Phoenixville is a hot area," he said, smiling.

And a perfect place for a cold treat.

Well, it's not. Guess you didn't patronize it enough. Maybe you should check this new place out.
Realist March 08, 2013 at 05:48 PM
I guess you liked waiting in line for 30 minutes waiting for your order. Or, the free entertainment of the owners bickering back and forth instead of helping customers. It seemed like the daughter was better suited to run the business than her parents.

Phoenixville is economic Darwinism in action. You gotta have your stuff together to survive here. Hope this new place takes note.

The yogurt looks good! And so does the owner ;)
Realist March 08, 2013 at 07:39 PM
So the editor is deleting post on this? And yet on other articles they let people run rampant. Who does this guy know?

Seriously. RIP Phoenixville Patch. At least we managed to run off harry finster before this site completely died and gave it's last gasp. I wrote nothing offensive, and to delete my comments is something I will not stand for. Later, patch.

Maybe someone flagged them as inappropriate. It was not me. I think people should be able to say what they want, but I did find Bill's comment and Realist's comment, if not inappropriate, highly unnecessary and inflammatory. Dead horse beaters comments were less so, and I agree that with all the other offensive and inappropriate comments on patch that these comments were deleted seems odd. I have them all in my email and have reviewed them several times before posting this. Oh, and old Harry is still around, if you haven't noticed.

Hi Fred. I'm gonna email Fafa a link to all these hateful comments you have been spewing. Maybe she can talk some sense into you after she knows what stupid crap her family member has been up to.

Back on topic. Stop by Yum Yum. It's great yogurt, awesome toppings, the staff are friendly, and it will do well in Phoenixville. Can't wait to sit outside and enjoy.
Muffins March 18, 2013 at 01:18 PM
The 'Phoenix Rising' started the moment you left town, Harry. You are one miserable human being.
