Gavel Passed at Phoenixville Chamber of Commerce

At its most recent luncheon, Stephen Giampietro took the helm.

Outgoing Chairman of the Board Frederick Hubler Jr. recalled taking his position in a trying time, back in 2009.

Economically, the outlook dimmed as the nation braced for tough times, and those didn’t spare the Phoenixville area, Hubler said at the most recent luncheon, held at .

Hubler, of Creative Capital Wealth Management Group, passed the gavel to new Chairman Stephen Giampietro of Body-Borneman Insurance with encouraging words.

“In the next two years, you will see the skyline of Phoenixville change,” Hubler said.

Hubler touted a spirit of working together with other “getting it done” Phoenixville organizations. During his tenure, he led the Chamber through its work with the First Friday program, a revamp of the Chamber offices and adjoining lot and a Chamber initiative to help new members navigate the organization’s benefits.

After receiving a gift from Hubler, Giampietro took the podium, saying that the recent granting of AA bond rating to the borough was a good sign for the future. He said he looks forward to serving as chairman in a vibrant community.

“Phoenixville is a tremendous place to be,” Giampietro said.

In addition to Giampietro, the following board member were also sworn in:

  • Christa Peers of VIST Financial as First Vice Chairwoman of the Boar
  • Joymarie Chupein DeFruscio of Keller Williams Realty as Second Vice Chairwoman of the Board
  • S. Mark Fuga of Maillie Falconiero and Company as Treasurer
  • Board Member Paul Drucker, Esq.
  • Board Member Megan Inmon of Phoenixville Patch

Arthur Taylor of Taylor and Ochroch will also join the board but was unable to attend the luncheon.

The January luncheon was sponsored by Seasons Hospice and Chestnut Knoll at Home. The speaker at the meeting .
