Iron Hill Rolls Out Blob-Inspired Menu

The items will be available on July 13 and 14.

In monster movie lore, a well fashioned tin foil hat can protect its wearer from all manner of trouble: electromagnetic fields, mind reading, and even mind control can be dodged. Here’s a new one: on July 13 and 14, in addition to the aforementioned, it could also win them $100.

In conjunction with Blobfest, next Friday and Saturday, the Iron Hill Brewery will award a $100 gift card to the guest who’s wearing the best tin foil hat, the Phoenixville Dish is reporting. The contest is just one of the many Blob related happenings the restaurant has scheduled for next weekend.

Head Brewer Tim Stumpf told the Dish that Iron Hill will be rolling out an assortment of Blob-related menu offerings. It all starts, he said, with his BLOB witbier–a dark brew flavored with Oregon cherries.

Also on the menu, which items range from in price $4.50 to $22.50, are Red Beet BLOB and Carrot Soup; Seared Foie Gras with red cherry BLOB and pistachio chips; BLOB-Engulfed Salmon with roasted fingerling potatoes, hardboiled egg, asparagus, plum tomatoes and red wine gelee; and Duck Confit BLOB with raspberry-risotto ooze and shaved fennel salad.
