Update: First Friday Indoor Events Still On

Inclement weather forces outdoor First Friday cancellation for June but many venues with inside activities are still on.

Since the original Patch report organizers of First Friday have modified the announcement on the First Friday Website to indicate that many venues with indoor activities will be holding them.  No specific information was made available. If you are unsure, call the business you are interested in before heading to Bridge Street.

Rainy weather, which is expected to last into Saturday morning, has forced organizers of Phoenixville's First Friday to cancel this month's event.

A note on the First Friday website says "June 7th's First Friday has been
cancelled due to inclement weather."

The next First Friday celebration is scheduled for July 5.

The National Weather Service Forecast for Phoenixville calls for clearing skies later in the weekend.

  • Friday night Periods of rain and possibly a thunderstorm. Some of the storms could produce heavy rainfall. Low around 60. East wind 9 to 11 mph becoming north after midnight. Chance of precipitation is 90%. New rainfall amounts between three quarters and one inch possible.
  • Saturday Showers likely, with thunderstorms also possible after 2pm. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 81. West wind around 7 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60%. New rainfall amounts of less than a tenth of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.
  • Saturday Night A slight chance of showers before midnight. Partly cloudy, with a low around 61. West wind around 6 mph becoming calm after midnight. Chance of precipitation is 20%.
  • Sunday Isolated showers and thunderstorms after noon. Mostly sunny, with a high near 84. Calm wind becoming southwest 5 to 7 mph in the afternoon. Chance of precipitation is 20%.
  • Sunday Night A chance of showers. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 65. Chance of precipitation is 50%. New rainfall amounts of less than a tenth of an inch possible.
  • Monday Showers and thunderstorms likely. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 82. Chance of precipitation is 70%.
  • Monday Night A chance of showers. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 66. Chance of precipitation is 50%.
  • Tuesday A chance of showers and thunderstorms. Partly sunny, with a high near 79. Chance of precipitation is 40%.
