Phoenixville Restaurant Guide for Your Valentine’s Day Dinner

For those of you who are early planners, a few restaurants in Phoenixville are taking early reservations for Valentine’s Day. Consider this Phoenixville restaurant guide for your Valentine's Day planning.

Three local eateries, Molly Maguire’s Irish Pub & Restaurant, Black Lab Bistro and Columbia Bar & Grille shared their offerings with Phoenixville Patch. Listed below are details for each Valentine’s Day special menu, pricing, dates and times, highlights and contact information to help you plan that romantic night out.

Molly Maguire’s Irish Pub & Restaurant

Cost: $55 per couple

When: Monday, Feb. 14 after 5:30 p.m.

Highlights: If you and your date appreciate Irish cuisine, consider eating at. For $55 per couple, you'll get a four-course shared plate for two people including shrimp cocktail, soup or salad, entrée, dessert and a bottle of sparkling wine.

According to manager Jeanine Pateski, “[Molly Maguire’s] is having a drawing for a free Valentine’s Day dinner.” The drawing will be announced on Thursday, Feb. 10. You have a few weeks left to enter to win this prize, and your date may appreciate your winning ways.

Black Lab Bistro

Cost: $120 per couple

When: Sunday, Feb. 13 and Monday, Feb. 14 from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m.

Dinner Highlights: For snuggling up with your sweetheart in an intimate setting, is ideal. Owner Guy Clauson mentioned that everything compliments each other from appetizers to entrées to dessert.

“It’s a multicourse meal in a romantic setting,” Clauson said.

Spicy tuna tartar, almond crusted goat brie and chilled Long Island oysters are some available appetizers. As for dinner entrées, you may decide on a pepper seared sliced filet mignon, roast farm-raised duckling or Maine lobster stuffed with crab imperial. Afterward, the chardonnay poached pear napoleon feuilette and warm apple struedel can finalize your meal.

Columbia Bar and Grille

Cost: Up to $150 per couple depending on the event you choose

When: Saturday, Feb. 12 though Monday, Feb. 14

Highlights: If you want a historical setting, the has multiple Valentine’s Day weekend events.

Heath Weaver, the evening hostess, said, “We have special items on the menu for two people that are not on the regular menu.”

In addition to the unique menu and wine list, Weaver told about their special Valentine’s touches such as decorations, centerpieces and candles. The Columbia Bar and Grille has four Valentine’s events to choose from: a sweethearts ball, jazz brunch, Valentine champagne and wine dinner and a Valentine chocolate dinner.

Sweethearts Ball: On Feb. 12 from 8 p.m. - 11 p.m., the Columbia Bar and Grille is hosting their first ever sweethearts ball. For $150 per couple, it includes one hour of open bar, a three-course dinner with wine, a dessert buffet with champagne and a live band.

Jazz Brunch: With only the cost of food and tip, the jazz brunch is an exciting way to bring the roaring ambience of the 1920s into your Valentine’s Day celebration. Brunch is from 11 a.m. - 3 p.m.

Valentine Champagne And Wine Dinner: For the nighttime lovers, you can enjoy a four-course dinner paired with an award winning wine list. At $65 per couple, you and your significant other will enjoy delicious meals while lovingly gazing at each other. Dinner starts at 6 p.m. and ends at 9 p.m.

Valentine Chocolate Dinner: If you and your date each have a sweet tooth, you may consider spending your Valentine’s Day eating a chocolate inspired à la carte dinner from 6 p.m. - 9 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 14. Listen to pianist Dale McCauley play popular, classical love tunes.
