'Strawberry Fields' Forever? Nope, They Closed Saturday

The beloved juice bar closed its doors on August 4.

From its November 2010 opening to its surprising (and abrupt) closure on Saturday, Strawberry Fields quenched the thirst of many a parched Phoenixville resident with its delicious smoothies and fruit juice blends.

(See Patch’s Jan. 2011 profile of the business and an August 2011 review .)

“Hi Everyone. Thanks for all of your business over these past couple of years,” the owners wrote on Strawberry Fields' Facebook page on August 3. “As many of you know, we are closing tomorrow, Saturday, August 4th. Come on down and say goodbye if you can. All of our shelf items are 40 - 50% off. Peace, Joy & Music to all of you. Rob & Susan.”

The announcement prompted an outpouring of support for the juice bar, including 27 comments that were uniformly in praise of the business.

There’s no official word yet on what will happen with the 252 Bridge Street storefront. Patch will be following the story.

The story was first reported in Phoenixville Dish.

Sad to see yet another Bridge Street business shut its doors. We particularly liked this place with its healthy options- those smoothies were delicious and my kids loved their wraps. Sorry to see them go.

My 10 year old daughter and I loved Strawberry Fields for our lunch dates. It was a great place to relax and have a healthy meal. It was also my go to place for stocking stuffers and healthy Easter basket treats. I will really miss their Raspberry Vegan Oat Bars! Best of luck to Rob & Susan.

This was a good store. It is a shame that they could not continue. I saw the ad for their selling of the building.
Michael Hill August 06, 2012 at 07:12 PM
From what I heard Barry, they were able to sell the building. Has anyone heard anything on what's going on with the Colombia?
CC August 07, 2012 at 02:21 AM
Michael, the sign on their door says they are renovating. Have you heard differently?

Though it's unsubstantiated at the moment, I've heard differently CC. We're looking into it.
Chris Dyer August 07, 2012 at 03:57 PM
I have heard through numerous people that the Columbia will not be re-opening
