Wegmans Recalls Deli Ham Over Possible Plastic Contamination

The ham, sold at deli counters between June 12 and 25, may contain pieces of white plastic from a broken conveyor belt at E. G. Emil & Sons of Philadelphia, which produces the product.

Wegmans has issued a recall for Wegmans Food You Feel Good About Organic Uncured Ham because of possible plastic contamination.

The ham, sold at deli counters between June 12 and 25, may contain pieces of white plastic from a broken conveyor belt at E. G. Emil & Sons of Philadelphia, which produces the product.

Affected UPC codes begin with 2008874, 2028874 or 2007295.

The ham was sold at 84 Wegmans locations in Pennsylvania, New York, New Jersey, Virginia, Maryland and Massachusetts, the company said. The company plans to contact those who purchased the deli ham and used their Shoppers Club cards after June 20 to alert them to the recall.

Return the product for a full refund, the company said. Contact 1-855-934-3663 with questions.
