In defense of Kathleen Kane.
As a registered independent who finds both parties (leadership) contemptible, I must say that it is pretty well documented that Republicans seem to be always on the side trying to reduce the Civil Liberties of the nation and the D’s always seem to be trying to expand them. Some easy examples would be:
Record efforts where R’s control state legislatures to restrict women’s RIGHT to abortion: http://bit.ly/1dx9c2V
Record efforts where R’s control state legislatures to restrict access to voting: http://bit.ly/140Lexd

In fact it seems the only time Republicans want to increase Civil Liberties is when they are extending rights to Big Business:

The expressions of outrage over failure to do her job (as stated in blog post by Joshua May 07/15/2013 titled "Has Kathleen Kane allowed personal feelings to interfere with her Duties as Pennsylvania's Attorney General?" are in my opinion somewhat disingenuous. Where were you folks when Corbett failed to prosecute Sandusky for raping little boys? http://bit.ly/1bzJsVh
In addition, does anyone else think that the author Mr. May should have identified himself as a Republican Committeemen who according to his LinkedIn profile:
- Candidate for Phoenixville Republican Committee: PA Precinct 474: May 18, 2010
- Poll Booster for Pat Toomey, US Senate, 2010
- Poll Booster for Tom Corbett/ Jim Cawley, PA Gubernatorial, 2010
- Poll Booster for Ken Buckwalter, PA General Assembly, 2010
- Poll Booster for Steve Welch, US Senate, 2012
- Poll Booster for Mitt Romney, US President, 2012
Would any reasonable person believe that a Republican Politician who actively participated in the efforts to elect Republican Politicians, who wholeheartedly support the effort discriminate against the LGBT community, is being honest when he states “I am not taking sides on Gay Marriage. One way or another I am indifferent.” ?
Mr. May, if you felt the need to say that so that you would sound reasonable…shouldn’t that be an indication that that is how reasonable people see the issue?
My name is Colin Mattis I live in Phoenixville. You can verify that unlike Mr. May I am not hiding some hidden partisan agenda, by reading my blog at www.cure4apathy.com or my Tweets @roxntreez, of what I have said on Facebook. I will speak out against D’s or R’s when they act against the health of the nation and if you are reading this and agree, you need to speak up as well. It’s getting ugly out there.
