Anna E. Michener, 84, Died on a Sunday

Anna E. Michener, 84

Anna E. (Hallman) Michener, age 84, wife of C. Paul Michener, of Pottstown, PA went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, April 22, 2012.  Born in Upper Merion Township, she was a daughter of the late Samuel and Katherine (Hamilton) Hallman.  She was a graduate of the Upper Merion High School.  Mrs. Michener worked as a legal secretary in Montgomery County for Judge Salus.  She was a member of and former choir director at the Peace in Zion United Church of Christ in Zieglerville.

In addition to her husband of 65 years, Mrs. Michener is survived by two children;  Paul C. "Mitch", husband of LeeAnn (Francis) Michener, of Phoenixville, PA:  Jill A., wife of Mark Exley, of Spring City, PA;  two brothers; Samuel, husband of Sandy Hallman, of Trooper, PA: David Hallman, of King Manor, PA, eight grandchildren:  Scott, Erin, Brett, Brian, Darren, Meredith Caryn, Gayle, five great-grandchildren:  Ella, Sydney Evan, Henry, Jacob.  Mrs. Michener was pre-deceased by one son: Timothy David Michener.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Memorial Service at the Peace in Zion United Church of Christ, 204 Big Road, Zieglerville, PA 18074 on Thursday, April 26, 2012 at 12:00PM.  Officiating will be the Rev. Frederick F. "Fred" Andrews, 61

Frederick F. "Fred" Andrews, age 61, of King of Prussia, PA, passed away Friday, April 20, 2012. Born in Westwood, MA, he was a son of Robert and Trieste (Gallo) Andrews, of Southington, CT.

Mr. Andrews was a self-employed general contractor. His first business venture was an HVAC company that he started in Walpole, MA. An avid golfer and golf instructor, he owned and operated two golf ranges that he built himself, one in Newport, RI and one in Philadelphia. Mr. Andrews was skilled at all forms of construction and restoration.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Andrews is survived by his former wife Sondra L. Andrews, and their two daughters Julie M. and Allyssa J. Andrews, as well as daughters Kerri Beeker, Jaime Andrews, and Lori Barcikowski; two sisters, Mary DeCroce and Trieste Andrews; one brother, Bob Andrews; three grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral service at the Campbell-Ennis-Klotzbach Funeral Home, Inc., Main Street at Fifth Avenue, Phoenixville on Thursday, April 26, 2012 at 7:30 PM. Officiating will be the Rev. Dr. Cynthia L. Krommes. Friends will be received at the funeral home Thursday evening from 5:30-7:30 PM. Burial will be held privately in the Morris Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Fred Andrews Memorial Fund, c/o Phoenixville Federal Bank and Trust, P.O. Mark Victor Mangan, 57

Mark V. Mangan, Sr., 57, of Phoenixville, PA, died on Thursday, April 19, 2012 in Season's Hospice in Phoenixville, PA.

Born in Nanticoke, PA, he was the son of the late William R. and Ann Marie (Latsko) Mangan.

Mark was a graduate of Phoenixville High School.

He is survived by his sons, Mark Mangan Jr., Nicholas Mangan and their mother Mary Anne (Farino) Mangan, grandson, Mark Michael Mangan, sisters, Sharon Mayernick and Ann Marie Mangan and Companion, Carol.

He was preceded in death by his brother, David J. Mangan.

Relatives and Friends are invited to attend his Funeral Service in the Devlin Rosmos Kepp & Gatcha Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 517 S. Main Street at Fourth Avenue, Phoenixville, PA on Monday, April 23, 2012 at 10:30 am.

Burial will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Phoenixville, PA.

A viewing will be held in the funeral home on Sunday, April 22, 2012 from 3:00 to 5:00 pm, and on Monday morning from 10:00 to 10:30 am.

Contributions may be given to the family.

Charles V. Shillingford, 62

Charles V. Shillingford, 62, husband of Virgie (Agustin Vertudes) Shillingford, of Glenmoore, passed away on Friday, April 13, 2012, in the AristaCare at Meadow Springs, Plymouth Meeting.  Born in Darby, he was a son of Elaine (Borden) Shillingford, of Spring City and the late Harry Shillingford.

Mr. Shillingford served as a Sergeant in the United States Army during the Vietnam War.  He was a lifetime member of the Vietnam Veterans of America and a member of the Eastern Paralyzed Veterans of America.

In addition to his wife and mother, Chuck is survived by two daughters: Theresa wife of Martin Zackrisson, of Gothenburg, Sweden and Kristina wife of Tom Griffin, of Indianapolis, IN; two grandchildren: Filippa and Theodore Zackrisson, of Gothenburg, Sweden; four sisters: Patricia Howard of Havertown, Pamela Shillingford of West Chester, Theresa McBride of Monterey, CA and Deborah Shaw of Glenmoore; and two brothers Harry Shillingford of Media and John Shillingford of Galveston, TN.   

Relatives and friends are invited to attend Chuck’s viewing at the Campbell-Ennis-Klotzbach Funeral Home, Inc., Main Street at Fifth Avenue, Phoenixville, on Tuesday, April 24, 2012, from 5:00-7:00 pm and from 9:30-11:00 am on Wednesday, April 25, 2012.  A memorial service will be held at 8:00 am, on Friday, April 27, 2012 at the First Baptist Church of Malvern, 146 Channing Avenue, Malvern, PA.  Officiating will be the Rev. Margaret Gibson, 93

Margaret (Getzey) Gibson, 93, wife of the late Jack T. Gibson, Sr., of Phoenixville, and formerly of West Chester, PA, died on Monday, April 16, 2012 at home.

Born in Mont Clare, PA, she was the daughter of the late Andrew and Bertha (Rudick) Getzey.

Margaret worked for Wyeth Laboratories in West Chester, PA.

She was a member of Holy Ghost Orthodox Church in Phoenixville, PA.

She was survived by son, Jack T. Gibson Jr. and his wife Mary of Conway, SC; daughter, Susan Crofts of Marietta, GA; and former daughter-in-law, Katherine Gibson of Collegeville, PA.

She was also survived by grandchildren Jack T. Gibson III and his wife Melissa, Katherine T. wife of Kurt W. Angstadt, Christopher Mitchelli, and Lisa, wife of Tim Marcinek; great-grandchildren Nicholas, Lauren, and Joseph; and sisters Anne, wife of the late David Dascher of Phoenixville, PA and Patricia, wife of Edward Sierzega of Mont Clare, PA.

She was preceded in death by her brother, John Getzey, and her sisters, Helen Singleton, Elizabeth Layton, Bertha Kacanda and Mary Kossey.

Relatives and Friends are invited to attend her Resurrection Funeral Service on Saturday, April 21, 2012 at 10:00 am in the Holy Ghost Orthodox Church, Bridge and Starr Streets, Phoenixville, PA with the Very Rev. John R. Fedornock officiating.

Burial will follow in Holy Ghost Cemetery, Mont Clare, PA.

A viewing will be held in the church on Saturday morning from 9:00 to 10:00 am.
